I'm Tom — a founder, producer, and business developer. I cut scope, sharpen pitches, and turn prototypes into fundable, shippable plans.
I've worked across the games industry as a business developer, producer, and event organizer. I ran INDIGO, the Netherlands' leading B2B game showcase, for seven years, supported dozens of studios at Dutch Game Garden, and led a Brussels-based studio as CEO. Today, I split my time between building JoTo Games — my lean, franchise-driven game studio — and helping other developers through TomJongens.com.
I know what it's like to be a small team with big ambitions. My mission is to give you the clarity, structure, and story you need to succeed — without burning out or running out of runway.
Let's start with a conversation. Tell me about your game, your challenges, and your goals. I'll give you one clear next step — no fluff.
A quick but deep audit of your prototype, pitch deck, and roadmap. You'll get a clear action list, a sharper story, and a realistic 90-day plan.
What's your core product? How can we reduce scope and increase favorability and market appeal? Let's iterate on your design to find the sweet spot.
Ongoing support 1–3 days a week. I handle partner comms, BD pipelines, investors, publishers, forecasts, pitching, milestone reporting, and keep production scope realistic.
Fun and retention come first. If players don't enjoy the core loop and come back for more, no feature stack or polish will fix it. I believe in validating the feel of the game early, because retention is the truest measure of fun.
A brilliant idea without an audience isn't a business. I always look outward: Who's the game for? What do they already play? Where are the gaps? By aligning creativity with proven demand, we turn passion projects into viable, scalable games.
I'd rather run a focused 8-week prototype than gamble on an 18-month roadmap built on assumptions. Quick, scrappy experiments de-risk projects, attract partners, and give teams real evidence to work with. Testing fast isn't cutting ambition — it's protecting it.
One hit game can change your life, but it won't sustain a studio. I believe in building the "bakery" — the processes, strategy, and discipline that let a team make many cakes. Sustainable success comes from strong foundations, not one-off luck.
I've spent over a decade in the games industry wearing multiple hats — from business development and event organization to studio leadership and game production. This gives me a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed.
I understand the challenges of small teams because I've lived them. I know how to cut through complexity and focus on what matters most: making games that players love and building studios that can sustain themselves.
